Robots Are Taking Our Jobs

This week I drove 10hrs north to a decommissioned uranium mine. We installed two ISCO automated water samplers that would collect water everyday at noon for the next 7 days. Automated monitoring systems and data loggers that are able to be accessed remotely from the office make fieldwork in hard to access areas much easier.

Unfortunately, one of the downfalls of leaving equipment in the field is their security. When we checked on the weather station we discovered that hunters had stolen the solar panel and batteries. Oh and the Polaris RZR side by sides make for a pretty awesome commute to work.
